Reviews
We had an amazing meal today, first time back in a few years and we'll certainly be returning. Really great service from Mara! Highly recommend!
Lovely food and service. Mara was our server, and she was polite, helpful and very friendly. I recommend a visit.
We came for a mid week meal with my 2 sons to celebrate them getting good school reports. There was an offer on where kids get a 3 course meal for free with every paying adult. Myself and my husband shared a starter and a pudding, and had 3 drinks between us (only 1 being alcoholic). When the bill came I was really shocked to see the total of £95!! I asked the waiter to remove the kids meals as we had the deal, but he told me that he had already removed them, and this amount was the right amount. £95 for a family of 4 (with 2 kids under 8) to come and have a simple mid week meal is disgraceful. Especially when we we only came to benefit from the offer! We won't be visiting Prezzo again. It would have been half the price anywhere else local, and that would have been with paying for kids meals too. The food was ok, and enjoyable but not worth that much. Not a happy customer!
Always been a pleasant experience at Prezzo in Swadlincote. Easy to book for a table and even though we were a bit early, our table was ready for us. Quick service and very friendly staff, in particular Mara who served us through our time there. Got our drinks quickly and then our food order was taken. Starters were delicious and plentiful without spoiling main course. Our main course came at just the right time, enough to allow starters to go down first. Main courses were really nice, felt as though we got them as soon as they were dished out, brilliant! The only downside for us was that the air conditioning was blowing quite cold directly over us. Thank you once again though Prezzo, very nice experience.
We dined during the ‘99p main’ offer on 28th April. Whilst this offer is an incredible one, it did unfortunately fall flat. We arrived for our booking at 7pm to a heaving restaurant with a queue out the door - this was great to see for a Monday, clearly the offer was a great marketing technique! But unfortunately we were informed there were no pizzas left….which meant we were only left with a choice of 3 pasta dishes. We found it quite shocking that they had ran out, considering they knew how many people they had booked in for the day and even told us they hadn’t accepted any walk in’s…we then asked if they were offering any alternative dishes to account for the lack of choice, to which they said no and asked why my friend ‘looked so confused’. In order to qualify for the deal, you have to buy a drink. We all ordered coke zero which arrived in a can but was somehow flat? We all ordered the bolognese which was rather average, but when you’re paying 99p for it you can’t complain, however I would be expecting the same quality as if I was paying full price. It did feel they altered the serving size of mince meat in the dish for this particular offer, as it was mostly pasta. (Picture attached) Let’s just say we would not have been happy if we were paying full price. My friend also ‘pre-ordered’ her sauce for her chips so she wouldn’t have to wait once her food got here. But we had to ask again for the sauce one the food arrived. Overall, the food was ok, but I feel alternatives should have been offered for the fact they ran out of pizza…at an Italian restaurant…where they had full visibility of number of diners.
